Enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions promote a “create once, re-use often” culture for media assets. Now you can deliver that vision from within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.
With updates and additions to OpenText™ Media Management in our OpenText Release 16 Enhancement Pack 7 (EP7) release, we’ve made it easier for our customers to connect their platform to complementary platforms from other vendors. As with all of our Salesforce solutions, the connector is available now as an App on the Salesforce AppExchange®.
Browse, search and utilize assets
With easy access to OpenText Media Management (OTMM) through Marketing Cloud, users can more quickly design their customer-facing campaign. Creative teams can avoid duplication by leveraging a single-source of the truth repository.
Users can quickly search, browse and discover centrally controlled (and tagged) assets before inserting into their Marketing Cloud projects. If the asset changes at a later date, the outgoing content from Marketing Cloud will also be updated.
Custom blocks within Content Builder
Through the use of Custom Blocks within Content Builder, the assets can be utilized over and over again, whether you’re composing a web asset or a customer-facing email campaign.
This approach ensures improved consistency and lowers the risk of using out-of-date or unauthorized images in your customer communications.

Cloud SaaS capture is quickly becoming the standard tool for deciphering and extracting value from content outside of your organization. Many of our competitors have focused on OCR (optical character recognition) tools and a set of APIs that you are responsible for building out the platform that moves content into the right system.
OpenText believes that when you purchase capture you should get more than just OCR — that the product you purchase should enable your processes without additional coding. In other words, it should be the initiator of automated processes.
The new release of OpenText™ Core Capture 19.4 brings more automation to capture through new functionality that is focused on creating a document and metadata that is ready for any system to use — without users having to transcribe tables or search for an invoice number. For users, this means increased throughput rates with significant decreases in the volume and type of manual intervention.
In the example below, Core Capture has searched the connected ERP to confirm that the invoice has the correct information. In this situation where we are still training the system, we require the user to single-click to confirm the metadata that was extracted. This will eventually not be necessary and the straight-through processing rate for this type of document will be close to 99%.
Core Capture auto-extracts a field from an invoice and confirms that field. The user is made aware that this field is correct by a simple green highlight
Focusing on reducing tedious tasks
For those times when end users do need to review and fix issues, the new release of Core Capture includes auto-extract of tables, as well as a simple red/green highlight system that warns users when there are errors (such as a missing value in a table or an invoice number that doesn’t meet the requirements).
Core Capture extracts and confirms the values for the table based on a set of rules based parameters and comparison to existing fields (total versus sub-totals)
Ask users to do less to ensure organized and useful information
The great part about Core Capture 19.4 is that the system learns from the user’s actions over time. Through repetition, the system learns to understand the process and anticipate the correct fix. Machine learning at work!
As the system learns to consistently anticipate the right fix, the user will no longer be required to even review the “error”. Artificial Intelligence at work!
Core Capture 19.4 brings additional ways to process documents as well as a easy way to get suggestions on keywords and fields
OpenText Core Capture 19.4 provides a configurable system that reduces the need for users to perform tedious metadata “cut and paste” processes. Organizations can be confident that Core Capture is using the right keywords for your process and connected systems.

OpenText is the global leader in Enterprise Information Management (EIM), and the leading provider of content services to the modern enterprise. Simply put, OpenText knows how to manage information in order to deliver a competitive advantage.
OpenText also understands that security must be job number one. The company acquired Guidance Software in 2017 and with it the EnCase line of forensic security and investigation products as part of a larger strategy to provide enterprise customers with deeper insights into their data, and help to proactively manage security risks.
With cybercrime and the current threat landscape evolving rapidly, enterprise leaders understand that cybersecurity solutions are essential to good information management and critical to protecting one of their business’s most valuable assets—their enterprise data.
The best enterprise information security solutions provide deep visibility into data security and investigate potential risk across all endpoints and devices as it emerges. They also allow for greater automation and contextualization of security events for faster triage, more informed decision-making, data loss prevention and effective remediation.
Today, we are announcing a new product to does just that: OpenTextTM Content Security for EnCaseTM by Reveille. Developed with solution extension provider Reveille Software, a provider of active insight solutions for ECM and EIM content, OpenText Content Security for EnCase by Reveille helps security teams extend their visibility into IT spaces to better protect sensitive information.
The end goal of cyber-adversaries is often to breach IT environments and then locate, exfiltrate and monetize sensitive data – making the content repositories that house such sensitive data a new frontier and battleground for security teams to protect. OpenText Content Security for EnCase by Reveille continuously monitors content repositories and archives like OpenText Documentum, Content Suite, Captiva, and InfoArchive for suspicious user behaviors associated with high-value digital assets. Behavior analytics data, supporting threat intelligence and context are automatically fed into OpenText EnCase Endpoint Security and packaged as a security event for the Information Security team to fully assess and remediate. This provides early indication of a potential late-stage breach or other serious security issue that should be addressed.
Too often, security teams are tasked with protecting sensitive information without any visibility into where and how information and content are managed. A targeted external attack, rogue internal account, compromised user, or malicious insider can access content repositories to edit files, corrupt information, upload malware or otherwise embed cyberthreats. Closing security blind spots associated with records and content helps security teams more confidently detect, investigate and remediate in the locations where data is stored.
With OpenText Content Security for EnCase by Reveille, security teams now have deep visibility and access into behavior-based threats within content applications and enterprise content management systems. With improved visibility, security teams can better protect their endpoints and content applications, and help detect and remediate issues before they become a breach. This enables a posture of proactive security around an organization’s most sensitive data.
OpenText Content Security for EnCase by Reveille is available now for deployment on or off cloud and in hybrid environments. Contact us or visit our website to learn more.

Enterprise security professionals today can prevent many attacks on their organization’s endpoints, thanks to ever-improving defensive tools that work across public and private clouds as well as on premise. But would-be attackers are also continually working to step up their capabilities in the expanding IT landscape, so some attacks will inevitably slip through.
We believe the answer lies with detection and response built on predictive analytics. Using advanced analytics and intelligence to automate responses can solve several of today’s biggest enterprise security problems all at once. And recent research backs that up.
Bringing predictive analytics into endpoint detection and response
Predictive analytics “will be critical to enterprise cyber-defense strategies,” notes an Enterprise Strategy Group white paper sponsored by OpenText. The paper adds that predictive analytics will help security analysts cope with high alert volumes and staffing/skills shortages, enabling teams to “better detect when bad actors are attempting to compromise the cyber infrastructure and to stop them.”
During a typical day, enterprise security analysts can see as many as one million alerts. Many of these are false positives, and at those scales, it’s effectively impossible for humans to distinguish those from the genuine problems. The result: alert fatigue and a lot of alerts that aren’t responded to.
Predictive analytics can help by building forecasts based on past and current data about security activities and behaviors. Analyzing such data makes it possible to automatically recognize – in real or near-real-time – the signs of actual threats as opposed to false positives. Armed with this knowledge, human analysts can focus on the alerts that need attention most.
Many organizations already reap the benefits of predictive analytics in applications like weather forecasting and financial fraud detection. With cyberattacks becoming ever more sophisticated, it makes sense for security teams to take advantage of those capabilities as well.
Beyond making it easier to detect and identify threats, predictive analytics can also automate many response activities: automatically isolating affected systems, for example, or banning problematic processes. This helps security teams handle triage, investigation and remediation efforts more quickly and effectively, meaning security operations centers can do more with the same resources, saving time and effort while also reducing the risks of damaging attacks.
