When Lynn Elwood, now VP, WW Learning Services at OpenText™ first entered the tech industry, there weren’t too many roles in tech – let alone roles for women. But there have been significant changes over the years, both to the number of jobs available and the number of women in roles in the tech industry.

So why is the technology industry a great place for women to work? According to Lynn, the people working in the industry aren’t just the stereotypical coders anymore. The image of a ‘tech worker’ has evolved to include a variety of people, experiences, and job positions. Working in tech today requires creativity and dedication, and the industry offers significant learning opportunities and a level of flexibility that’s hard to match.
