Leading up to OpenText™ Enfuse 2019, we caught up with Patty Nagle, OpenText SVP & CMO to get her insights on what to expect at the conference and why you should attend.

What are you most looking forward to at Enfuse 2019?

We all know that cyber security is one of the biggest threats to both the public and private sector in today’s digital world. According to Forbes, the estimated cost of cybercrime will exceed $6 trillion by 2021 – exceeding the global trade in illegal drugs. In 2017, organizations spent approximately 23% more on cybercrime costs than in 2016. Clearly, the consequences of cyberattacks for organizations can be extreme.

OpenText Enfuse is an event dedicated to helping security, law enforcement and legal professions solve today’s investigative and information security challenges. What excites me most about the conference is the role that OpenText is taking in helping to identify, remedy and protect our customers – and their employees – from this increasingly onerous threat.

We have an exciting line-up of main stage speakers this year. What can we expect to hear during the keynotes?

Every year, the keynotes from OpenText executive leadership and high-profile industry thought leaders are a highlight of Enfuse—and this year is no exception!

Our CEO & CTO Mark Barrenechea will open the conference on Tuesday with a fascinating keynote on the vital importance of using technology for good. In today’s challenging world, it is so important to look for the good that technology can do, and Mark’s session will focus on how OpenText continues to innovate to provide our customers with the solutions and needed to overcome their security challenges and create a fairer and more sustainable world.

And our Chief Product Officer Muhi Majzoub will continue the theme on Wednesday, sharing the latest and greatest OpenText product announcements during his keynote. I don’t want to give anything away, but it’s safe to say that Muhi’s keynote will include some amazing demos and big product announcements – you won’t want to miss it!

Finally, I’m excited about our guest speaker James Clapper, the former U.S. Director of National Intelligence. Mr Clapper is one of the finest intelligence minds of the 21st century, he served as the Director of National Intelligence from 2010 until 2017, the nation’s top intelligence official and the principal intelligence advisor to the President. His perspective and experience will help attendees think differently, and provide fascinating insider insight into how to secure and manage information.

This line-up truly is one of the most fascinating sets of keynotes we’ve ever hosted at Enfuse.

What’s in store for Partners at Enfuse 2019?

Enfuse is all about making meaningful connections – and for partners, that means attending Enfuse Partner Day.

Enfuse Partner Day – taking place on Monday 11th – is a great way for OpenText partners to hear from our executive team about the strategy and roadmap behind our security portfolio, and connect with product experts, Sales leaders and members of the OpenText Channels and Alliances organization.

In addition to the Partner Day, we still have some amazing sponsorship opportunities available at Enfuse. This gives our partners access to over 1000 security and law enforcement professions, and a chance to showcase their skills, expertise and solutions. And this year, we have added even more fantastic lead generation and networking opportunities. Contact partnermarketing@opentext.com to secure one of the remaining places!

What’s new or different about Enfuse this year?

Over the past 19 years, the Enfuse conference has become renowned as a must-attend cybersecurity technology event. And we’re carrying on that tradition.

This year’s conference will bring together leaders in cybersecurity, digital investigations, AI and eDiscovery. It’s the only conference featuring this blend of technologies, disciplines and knowledge. Enfuse 2019 features over 100+ breakout sessions and hands-on technical labs on digital forensics, information governance, legal technology, and incident response best practices.

We also pride ourselves on making this a great education and learning experience – with the opportunity to gain or renew your certification in eDiscovery, digital forensics and information security.

But it’s not all work!  We are planning a fantastic opening reception at Lagasse’s Stadium on Monday night, and we’re also expecting some very special four-legged friends, courtesy of Michael’s Angel Paws.

It’s truly an unparalleled experience. I can’t wait to see you there.

Enfuse 2019 takes place from November 11-14 at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.
