Today’s supply chains are evolving into highly connected and collaborative supply chain networks. New disruptive technologies, such as AI and IoT, are allowing companies to establish more intelligent and connected digital ecosystems and this has led to vendors, such as OpenText, investing significantly in new capabilities and solution offerings across our Business Network.

A recently launched IDC Marketscape relating to Multi-Enterprise Supply Chain Commerce Networks, examined the capabilities of our Business Network and we were positioned as a ‘leader’ in the overall vendor assessment. OpenText Business Network was evaluated against several other vendors on current product capabilities, customer success, vision and proven track record. Our leadership position reflects both our innovative strategy and proven capability.

The IDC Marketscape highlights OpenText as number one in “capabilities” and, in addition, IDC said the following:

  • “Leading companies that depend on a proven solution and business partner to power their global supply chains and ensure business continuity select OpenText”
  • “OpenText wins deals due to proven scale, expertise, global reach and focus on investment and growth”
  • “Companies running SAP across their enterprise should also strongly consider OpenText”
  • “In today’s fast-paced, highly analytical supply chain, the use of networks to facilitate commerce and collaboration can mean the difference between meeting supply chain performance goals and not meeting them”

The actual IDC Marketscape is highlighted in the chart below with OpenText shown in the leader section:

IDC MarketScape: Multi-Enterprise Supply Chain Commerce Networks 2018

Our leading position in the IDC Marketscape has been achieved through significant investment in our Business Network and this was further demonstrated on 17th December 2018 when we announced that we had closed the acquisition of Liaison Technologies. This will further enhance our digital business integration capabilities both across the extended enterprise and internal business systems.
