Hey Trailblazers – what a week! Dreamforce 2025 was a whirlwind, and being on the ground at the OpenText booth was the best seat in the house. I talked to hundreds of people, from sales reps and service agents to IT directors. And the vibe was clear: everyone is trying to figure out how to use Salesforce integrations to work smarter, not just faster. The energy was electric, from the main keynotes to the breakout sessions. Here are my five favorite Salesforce content management takeaways based on the real, on-the-floor conversations we had.
1. Everyone needs an AI content assistant right now
The number one question we got was, “How can AI help my team right now?” It wasn’t about future tech; it was about getting contextual insights from documents of all formats, and questions answered immediately.
That’s why people were so excited about the combination of OpenText Content Aviator™ and Salesforce’s Agentforce. We loved showing how a Service agent could ask Agentforce a question, and OpenText’s AI would securely search all their cloud content, summarize a complex policy document, and then let the agent create Salesforce records directly from Aviator content while staying in Salesforce. That’s not AI for the future; that’s productivity today.
2. We’re still drowning in documents, even in Salesforce
It was clear that for many companies, the biggest headache isn’t always data, but the sheer volume of documents, contracts, invoices, service records, that live outside of Salesforce in cloud content management but are crucial to the sales and service processes.
Our booth visitors were relieved to hear about how OpenText document management acts as a single, secure source for all that content. It’s about more than just Salesforce. OpenText helps businesses connect content to business processes for better productivity and stronger governance across their whole enterprise, including Salesforce and systems like SAP and Microsoft. The best part? Users can find and view these external files right from the Salesforce UI, including with Agentforce.
3. Turning messy files into AI fuel is a must
So, you have a mountain of legacy documents. How do you make them useful for the new AI tools? That’s where the idea of “AI-ready” content really resonated. The challenge isn’t the AI. It’s that a lot of enterprise content is unstructured and ungoverned, making it hard for AI to deliver trusted answers.
We showed off how OpenText helps solve this. With capabilities like cloud data capture and knowledge discovery, files of many formats are digitized, processed, and ready to use with AI and automated workflows. Plus, they automatically enrich content, allowing for requirements like redacting sensitive data, and auto-tagging metadata to make sure your AI is working with clean, governed, and accurate information.
4. Innovation is happening in the partner ecosystem
One big theme at Dreamforce was the sheer size and importance of the partner ecosystem. I heard from a lot of folks who were looking for targeted Salesforce integrations that extend the Salesforce platform.
It’s exciting to be part of the Salesforce partner ecosystem, and the conference underscored that “9 out of 10 Salesforce customers rely on partner apps and experts”1. It was a great reminder that the real transformation often happens through deep, integrated solutions that partners build to solve very specific complex enterprise problems, like secure governed information management.
5. AI is driving the need for more governance
With all the buzz around AI, you might think security takes a back seat, but it’s the opposite. Every conversation circled back to “trust.” If an AI agent summarizes a legal document, how do you know it’s the right version and that it’s been secured correctly?
The message from the entire conference was that trusted AI needs trusted data. OpenText is focused on delivering AI that is secure and adheres to organizational security protocols. Dreamforce validated that our job isn’t just to make content accessible and ready for AI, but to ensure it is governed and compliant throughout its lifecycle.
At Dreamforce 2025, we showed that the key to unlocking true enterprise AI, with all the promised productivity gains, starts with a foundation of secure, well-governed centralized content. OpenText is proud to be the partner that delivers that foundation for your Salesforce environment and the entire enterprise.
