OpenText Business Network by the numbers

OpenText has acquired many companies over the years and a key investment area for the company has been to expand the reach of OpenText™ Business Network, not just across different industry sectors, but across different regions around the world. OpenText operates the largest B2B integration network in the world and the acquisition of EasyLink, GXS and ANX over the past few years has helped to position OpenText as a key enabler of today’s digital supply chain.

Two weeks ago OpenText announced the acquisition of Covisint and this helps to further strengthen Business Network, especially in the automotive industry. Covisint was formed in 2000 to serve the big three OEMs in Detroit, namely GM, Ford and Chrysler and they developed a web portal environment to seamlessly connect to their suppliers. Over the past few years Covisint diversified into some new and exciting areas such as the Internet of Things, but another core strength lies in the area of Identity Management.

I will post a more detailed blog on Covisint in the near future, but in the meantime I wanted to introduce the following video to highlight the scale of OpenText Business Network. This video was produced just before the acquisition of Covisint so you can expect the statistics shown to rise once we include the transaction and trading partner numbers from Covisint.
