To stay competitive and succeed in today’s digital economy, organizations need to be up to date on data security. And if you work with data, it’s valuable to have proven skills in processes like digital investigation, forensic security and data risk management.

OpenText™ EnCase™ suite of products are widely recognized as leading solutions in computer forensics, and our EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) certification is the industry standard for proving your expertise in its use. If that’s something you’re interested in, you’ll want to attend our digital investigation and security conference, Enfuse 2019 from November 11-14 at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.

Why? Because if you’re already EnCE certified but need to renew soon, attending at least 10 sessions at Enfuse will let you earn credits toward renewal. And if you’re not yet EnCE certified, Enfuse offers a great way to get that process going.

EnCE certification

EnCE certification is prestigious, but it’s much more than that. It’s a way to show you’re a highly-skilled computer investigator and know how to use EnCase Forensic™ effectively across a wide range of forensic investigations. It’s recognized by both law enforcement and business as proof of deep computer forensics knowledge – and that’s becoming ever-more important in our increasingly data-driven world.

Understanding trails of data activity across many different devices and platforms can be vital in criminal investigations that need to stand up in court. It’s also critical in corporate investigations, especially whenever there’s a data breach or other security failure. Investigating such activity requires that data be properly identified, analyzed and preserved to the highest standards. EnCE certification is proof you have the skills required for those tasks.

Because data security and forensics challenges are constantly changing, it’s also proof you’re up to date on the latest methods, technologies and threats. For instance, our latest version of EnCase Forensic allows investigators to collect data from wherever it’s stored – on-premises or in the cloud, at endpoints or on email servers, across document repositories or even on wearables – and provides automation and predictive capabilities for faster, earlier and less time-consuming insights.

EnCase software has proven invaluable to numerous organizations and EnCase agents have been deployed on more than 40 million endpoints around the world. Our software helps not only with law enforcement and criminal investigations, but also allows corporate users to stay on top of HR, compliance and regulatory issues, as well as cases involving theft of intellectual property. And it can reduce or eliminate shipping, traveling and outsourcing costs, saving millions of dollars by bringing forensics expertise in house.

To date, we’ve trained more than 85,000 professionals to use the EnCase suite of products, with 6,700-plus earning EnCE certification.

Renewing your qualifications at Enfuse

Once you’re EnCE certified, you need to renew your qualifications every three years. You can make that process faster and easier by attending the Enfuse conference, which features a wide range of learning and networking opportunities related to forensic investigation, electronic discovery, information security and artificial intelligence. You’ll find more than 100 sessions covering many different focus areas, and hear from industry experts about the latest techniques, technologies and best practices. You’ll also be able to earn credits, meet your EnCE renewal requirements and take your EnCE certification at no additional cost.

Plus, you’ll be sure to hear new announcements about our software during the conference – not just OpenText™ EnCase™ programs but OpenText™ Axcelerate™, OpenText™ Magellan™, OpenText™ Insight and OpenText™ Covisint as well. Stay tuned for more details in the weeks ahead.

Join us at Enfuse 2019

If EnCE certification is something you’re looking at this year, be sure to submit your application at least a week ahead of Enfuse, as you’ll need to pre-enroll for labs and lectures. The sooner you register to attend, the sooner you can be assured of having a place at the highly regarded EnCE certification table.

Are you interested in other certification opportunities? Read our blogs on EnCase Certified eDiscovery Practitioner (EnCEP) certification and Certified Forensic Security Responder (CFSR) certification for more information.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at this year’s Enfuse!
