Delta RM and Knorr-Bremse use OpenText Analytics to empower business users

How does a business leverage all its data in relevant, interactive visualizations to increase opportunities for growth? This was a common challenge between French IT company, Delta RM and global manufacturing organization, Knorr-Bremse. It wasn’t until they were introduced to OpenText™ Analytics that they realized how easily this challenge could be addressed.

Headquartered in Paris, France, Delta RM has 15 years of experience helping companies across Europe implement enterprise risk management frameworks and information systems. Its modular software suite helps companies become more effective in overseeing critical risks that can affect long-term strategy and short-term performance.

Knorr-Bremse, based in Munich, Germany, is the world’s top manufacturer of braking systems for rail and commercial vehicles, such as freight trucks and metro lines. Since its founding in 1905, the company has been a leader in developing, manufacturing, and servicing braking systems and other components.

OpenText Analytics is the ideal solution to help organizations improve decision-making, gain operational efficiency, and increase visibility by enabling the creation of customized interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations quickly into the hands of business users.

Delta RM and Knorr-Bremse chose OpenText to address their need for deeper, more flexible data analytics capabilities. They required self-service convenience with a powerful technical platform that delivers self-service analytics and data preparation to business users, all backed by an IT-managed environment that provides secure and scalable access to enterprise data.

Delta RM and Knorr-Bremse also required a rapid and seamless solution. “With OpenText, we were able to embed their analytics platform in just weeks rather than the months it would take to build and design our own,” explains Chantal Carnel, CEO of Delta RM.

In both cases, OpenText Analytics demonstrated that developing and bringing to market the embedded solution would be faster than any other solution considered. “It is not just about shortening the time to develop, though,” says Martin Steffens, Project Manager and Software Architect at Knorr-Bremse. “The results have to look good and with OpenText, they do.”

We love working with great customers like Delta RM and Knorr-Bremse who are not only willing to share their great success stories, but are also active members of the OpenText Elite™ loyalty program. At Enterprise World in July, Knorr-Bremse was recognized as one of our 2017 OpenText Elite Award winners for their innovation and excellence in the manufacturing industry.

Thank you, Delta RM and Knorr-Bremse for your support and partnership! Be sure to learn more about these and other great customer stories here.
