Runners, joggers, and walkers alike hit the pavement last Sunday for the 15th Annual “Re-Fridgee-Eighter” Run held at Rim Park in Waterloo. Despite the wind and the cold, many were game to take part, including OpenText, the defending champ of the 8-mile Corporate Team category. Our runners did us proud once again, maintaining the top title with ease (we were the only team registered in this division) and claiming third overall in the 8-kilometer Corporate Team category. Congratulations also go out to Brad Bender, QA Software Developer and Gary Clift, Systems Administrator, who both won their respective categories. While teams and individuals scored bragging rights, the real winners are those who will benefit from the donated pledges received by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
