Enterprise Content Management

Introducing Project Bandaroo and OpenText Magellan

As part of OpenText’s EIM vision of customer engagement to business insight, Mark Barrenechea CEO & CTO of OpenText announced Project Bandaroo, the next generation of enterprise content management and social software that changes the nature of work. Built on OpenText Core, Project Bandaroo  is a collaborative environment that incorporates social communities, information and project channels, intelligent bots and secure information management to allow individuals and teams to work with information in a way that represents how people work today. Collaborative, social and engaging!

A second announcement made by Mark at Enterprise World 2016 delivers on our vision for deep business insights. OpenText Magellan is our next generation cognitive analytics platform.

OpenText Magellan will integrate visualization, voice, video, search, text, natural language, semantics and numerics to deliver an easy to program, highly affordable cognitive platform.  Magellan leverages open source technology, and runs on standard (x86) hardware, allowing companies, students, universities – everyone – to build applications that drive deep data insights and cognitive & predictive analytics based on structured and unstructured information.

OpenText Magellan marks the democratization of cognitive computing and will be available in the second half of OpenText FY17.
